- Toronto Indoor Westie Play Day
February 19th, 2012
We will be again having an indoor Play Day at
Doggie
Central in Mississauga from 2:00 pm till 5:00 pm.
It will be held again
at Doggie Central in Mississauga (same location as last year, 3151 Lenworth
Drive-the Dixie and Dundas area of Mississauga) with lots of fun and a good
opportunity to let our Westies have a good run and romp inside. We will have
some great items for sale, delicious snacks and coffee and a trainer there as
well to teach us a new trick or perhaps you can ask a question or 2 or
10!!!.
Cost is only $5.00 per family-one Westie or 5-still only
$5.00. Non-Westie brothers and sisters are welcome as well. Hope to see you
there.
- All About Pets Show: April 6-8,
2012
The
All About Pets show
will be held on April 6-8 (Easter Weekend) at the International Centre in
Mississauga. This is an indoor event with lots of great shopping and stuff to
see. We will have a booth in the rescue village. Come join us at The All About
Pets Show! A true pet lover's paradise dedicated to promoting responsible
ownership of pets.
- Woofstock: June 9-10, 2012
Woofstock is
the largest outdoor festival for dogs in all of North America. More than
350,000 people and their dogs walk through Woofstock over the 2 days and it is
amazing!
It is located in the St. Lawrence Market Neighbourhood in Toronto,
taking the action all the way to Yonge St. and up and down the adjoining side
streets and parks. Westies in Need will have a booth in the rescue village
- Pawlooza: August 18th, 2012
Pawlooza is an outdoor event and
will be held in London, Ontario. Pawlooza is the ultimate dog party! It's a
festival for dogs and animal lovers! You can take your dog dock diving, go
trailwalking, go swimming in the Pawlooza pond, test your dog's agility, go
off-leash in the FunZone, get trick advice, get obedience advice, get readings
from a pet psychic, learn about pet first aid, watch agility demonstrations...
shop from 150 vendors, get great deals by bidding on silent auction items, and
load up on free samples. We will be there with our Westies in Need colours
flying!
- Toronto Westie Walk and Fun Day:
September 9th, 2012
Held at Mississauga Valley Park, this event is our
biggest fund-raiser for our rescue…not to mention a whole ton of fun!
Terrier races, our annual photo contest, lots of great vendors and so many
Westies to see. Please save the date!
- Ottawa Westie Walk and Fun Day:
September 16th, 2012
Will be held at Dogz Canine Sports Centre. A
wonderful location and so much fun!
- Winter Woofstock: November
17-18, 2012
Winter
Woofstock is an indoor event and will be held at the Direct Energy Centre
in the CNE grounds. This is a great event with lots of wonderful shopping,
pictures and breakfast with Santa Paws etc.
